About Yanis
I am a high school senior at American Heritage, one of the nation's top private schools. I have been programming since I was 8 years old and I have known Python since my freshman year of high school. Last year, I worked at iCode, a center that taught programming and robotics to children. There, I quickly became the main instructor relating to Python as I taught many students with a project-based approach. As I had a much harder time learning on my own, I am here to make sure everybody else has better access to help for much cheaper.

When I first learned computer science and Python, it was through an online course where, although I learned a lot, I was missing the opportunity to fully understand every concept and ask questions to the professor. I therefore want to create a community where I can teach my passion and offer my services to students no matter what they need. My lessons are for the students, so I would therefore select a topic for the day/week and have them working on projects of their own choosing, making sure they put each concept in application. I also help the student understand each concept using primarily metaphors, examples, and use of it in a program. What sets me apart is that as a high school student, I understand a lot more what the student may find difficult or have a hard time grasping, and I can explain in a way that they would understand. My lessons are for those who have no prior experience and beginners.
