About Nicole
I am a High School Maths and PE teacher. I have a BSc Sports Science Honours degree and a PGCE. I have experience working as a substitute teacher and as a teaching intern for one year at Bridge House School. I love working with children and inspiring them to reach their potential.

I am a qualified teache. I have taught grades 8 and 9 Mathematics and I have observed and assisted a grade 10 Mathematics class. I am also qualified to teach mathematics literacy. I don't have much experience in private tutoring but I believe that it is something that I will be good at.
When teaching, I prefer to first identify the students' current knowledge and understanding and then focus on areas that need improving, When approaching topics, I like to give a general overview of the topic and then go into subsections and then specific focus points. I will ask lots of questions to ensure that the student understands their work well. Maths and languages are about practicing as much as possible, so there will be a lot of opportunities for the student to practice what he/she has learned.
I believe that learning should be fun and that students can be encouraged by how much they actually know and can do. I aim to facilitate an understanding of concepts and not just methods.
I like to have fun and be creative and incorporate the student as
much as possible in their own learning.
