About Neslihan

I am a qualified engineer. I have been working privately as a Maths and Turkish Tutor from home in my area for many years. I have taught many young individuals and adults; prepared them for GCSE exams and supported them with my own teaching strategies. Teaching Turkish has been a part of me for many years. I was born in Ankara and I speak with no accent; I am clear and accurate. I have studied Turkish literacy and grammar previously and applied my own learning techniques into my teaching. I can help with all requirements including basic, daily Turkish, holiday language or more advanced levels including GCSE. I will make the lessons fun linking them with the Turkish culture and living. I am very enthusiastic and resourceful.

About the lesson

I use a mix of strategies and blending tools in my tutoring in order to flip the sessions and make it more student centred. I am the master of the situation while I direct the lessons. I discuss topics and delegate the learners on tasks. I encourage them to ask questions and prepare questions in advance so that no gaps left.
In Maths, I use my unique notes for explaining concepts, following the curriculum and guidelines from the Education Department. I use my own illustrations or 3D models. I know that we are all wired differently and we all learn differently. Years of experience in tutoring gives me an advantage to anticipate and plan ahead to suit each person's needs.
In Turkish, I make sure that the learners enjoy the lessons and relate to the topics from their experiences or interests. I link the topics with Turkish culture, daily living, history, music, literacy and poetry. My learners always have the opportunity to exchange ideas and give suggestions anytime.
My tutoring is about setting clear objectives and goals. By keep good communication at all times, I offer bags of empathy,humility and flexibility.
