My teaching is exam and results focused, drawing on over 10 years' experience teaching Chemistry at an independent school in the UK. I specialise in the AQA exam board at both GCSE and A Level, and I structure lessons closely around AQA's specifications, using their past papers, mark schemes, and examiner reports to build exam technique and close the gaps between where a student is and where they need to be to achieve their target grade. I use targeted questioning on key concepts (from atomic structure and bonding through to organic mechanisms and equilibria at A Level) and regular low-stakes testing to track progress and adjust the pace of teaching to each student's needs.
Lesson length
My typical lesson is 45 minutes, which I find gives enough time to work through content in depth while keeping sessions focused and avoiding fatigue.
Qualifications and experience
I have over 10 years' teaching experience at an independent school in the UK, giving me a thorough, up-to-date understanding of the AQA GCSE and A Level Chemistry specifications and their assessment requirements.
