I'm passionate about the education of young people, and making sure they reach their full potential. My lessons are fun and engaging, and I try to relate all work to the student's areas of interest.
I'm a mum of both primary and high schoolers, as well as a high school Head of Department, and love Maths and Science! I'm looking forward to working with your child and building their confidence and capability in this area.

I am experienced in working with students with a vast range of different learning needs, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD and Autism. As well as my teaching qualification I have a Masters in education focusing on gifted education (so I can work with highly able students and extend them far beyond their classroom work in their areas of interest) and students with additional learning needs.
As a qualified teacher I am able to make learning fun and engaging for all students, and have a variety of different strategies I can employ to get the best outcomes for children.
I follow teaching strategies based on neuroscience - meaning I work to 50 minute lessons for all students, with the remaining 10 minutes designated for fun activities with the student, or for debriefing and discussing weekly work with parents.
My passion is working with students in the middle phase of learning particularly Grade 5-10 in Maths and Science. I am also able to support students who are working towards scholarship and selective program exams.
I am an External Marker for the Senior Biology external exams, and a Confirmer for the Senior Chemistry syllabus (and a qualified teacher of both those subjects) so am able to support and tutor Senior Biology and Chemistry also.
