About Madisyn
Hi there! I'm a 15-year-old aspiring teacher with a 4.0 GPA and a true passion for helping others learn. As the oldest of five siblings—all under the age of 10—I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience working with kids, which has taught me patience, creativity, and how to explain things in a way that actually makes sense. I currently tutor middle and lower school students, and I love getting to know each learner personally—whether it’s their favorite food, a show they’re into, or what makes them laugh. I believe building those connections helps make learning more fun and effective. What sets me apart is that I'm not just a tutor—I’m someone who really gets what it’s like to be a student today. I'm close in age to many of my students, which makes it easier for me to connect and communicate with them in a way that feels natural and judgment-free. Outside of academics, I’m a proud nerd! I love anime, drawing, comic books—you name it. I try to bring that same creativity and energy into every lesson I teach. My typical lesson includes clear objectives, direct instruction, guided and independent practice, and thoughtful closure to reinforce learning. I often revisit closure to ensure understanding and boost confidence.
