About Megan

I received a 1st Class History Degree from the University of Birmingham in 2019 and a Merit Masters Degree in Theatre Directing from the Royal Holloway in 2021. Essay writing was a part of both of these degrees and I completed 12,000 and 15,000 word dissertations respectively.

I spent 6 years coaching Karate for students aged between 4 and 18 years and have directed young people in the theatre. I am patient, passionate and flexible which enables me to create trusting and productive relationships with my students.

About the lesson

I believe in a student led approach meaning I tailor my approach to the needs and situation of the student. I aim to equip them with vital, transferable skills as well as an appreciation of their own capabilities by fostering a fun and supportive environment. I am able to provide online tutoring from Secondary School to University Level.

I specialised in Contemporary Genocide and War, writing my dissertation on Combatant Psychology in the Second World War. I took a wide variety of modules from the Middle Ages to the treatment of Sexual Minorities in Britain writing essays comparing films as works of public history and the extent to which the American Revolution was more conservative than radical.

I am therefore equipped with the abilities to tutor a range of periods and subjects as well as the core skills required of history students.
