Hello, I’m a creative writer who loves to share my passion and knowledge with others. I have published a short story in a horror writing contest and I specialize in environmental storytelling and worldbuilding. I have also been teaching creative writing for over a year, helping students of all levels and backgrounds improve their skills and express themselves.
I believe that creative writing is not only a form of art, but also a way of learning, communicating, and exploring. That’s why I design my lessons to be fun, interactive, and personalized, according to your goals, interests, and learning style. Whether you want to write fiction, poetry, screenplay, or anything else, I can help you achieve your creative potential.
As your tutor, I will provide you with constructive feedback, guidance, and support throughout the creative process. I will also expose you to a variety of sources and resources for creative writing, such as books, websites, podcasts, and contests. As a creative writer who has published a short story in horror writing and specializes in environmental storytelling and worldbuilding, I can help you unleash your imagination and craft engaging stories in any genre. My approach as a tutor is to:
Teach with examples. I will show you how to analyze and learn from different forms of creative writing, such as fiction, poetry, screenplay, and more. I will also provide you with feedback and suggestions on your own writing.
Encourage brainstorming and experimentation. I will help you generate original and diverse ideas for your stories, using prompts, images, scenarios, and questions. I will also challenge you to try new techniques, styles, and perspectives, and to break the rules when necessary.
Guide you through the creative process. I will help you plan, draft, revise, and edit your stories, using a method that covers everything from picking a form, writing from life or prompts, setting the tone, showing instead of telling, setting the pace, and practicing over perfection.
Inspire you to write widely and passionately. I will expose you to a variety of sources and resources for creative writing, such as books, websites, podcasts, and contests. I will also motivate you to write regularly, share your work, and enjoy the journey.
My typical lesson plan consists of:
A warm-up activity to get you in the mood for writing and to review the previous lesson’s content.
A mini-lesson on a specific topic or skill related to creative writing, such as character development, dialogue, plot structure, etc.
A guided practice where you apply what you learned to a writing task, such as a short story, a poem, a scene, etc.
A peer review where you exchange feedback with another student or with me.
A reflection where you evaluate your progress and set goals for the next lesson.
What sets me apart as a tutor is:
My passion and enthusiasm for creative writing and teaching. I love writing stories and I love helping others discover and develop their own voice and vision.
My experience and expertise in creative writing and environmental storytelling and worldbuilding. I have published a short story in a horror writing contest and I have created immersive and detailed worlds for my own stories and games such as Dungeons and Dragons.
My flexibility and adaptability to your needs and preferences. I can tailor my lessons to your level, goals, interests, and learning style. I can also adjust the pace, content, and format of the lessons according to your feedback and performance.
My lessons are for:
Anyone who wants to learn or improve their creative writing skills, whether for personal or professional purposes.
Anyone who is interested in creative writing and/or environmental storytelling and worldbuilding, or who wants to explore other genres and forms of creative writing.
Anyone who is looking for a fun, interactive, and supportive learning environment, where they can express themselves freely and creatively.
