About Maria

I was born and raised in Mallorca, Spain, completing high school education there. I speak Catalan, Spanish and English.

From 2018 to 2020 I taught science, maths and technical drawing to students aged 8yo to 18yo, but I stopped tutoring when I moved to Glasgow in autumn 2020. However, I enjoyed my tutoring period so much that I became very passionate about education and now I wish to become a lecturer in the far future.

Currently, I am an undergraduate maths and astronomy student wishing to help students from a wide range of skills levels to thrive and enjoy learning as much as I do :)

About the lesson

Hola! ¿Cómo va?
My name is Maria, nice to meet you. My native languages are Spanish and Catalan and I am a very passionate tutor that used to teach maths and physics to a wide range of students back in Spain from 2018 to 2020.

Now offering tutoring in Glasgow, I always try to tailor my lessons to the student as best I can, focusing on learning what best works for you and your feedback. Even if you are new to Spanish or you have been learning it for some time, I offer a wide range of teaching styles such as

- Grammar and theory focused lectures
- Exercise and exam-solving sessions.
- Conversation, speech and vocabulary based teaching.

all tailored to your current skill level. I want my students to feel comfortable and be able to enjoy the learning process in a friendly informal environment.

After each session, I give a short feedback report on performance and some homework so that students can revise and practise in between sessions. I am a very curious person that loves to learn, so I love to cover a colourful range of interesting topics during dialogues, always adapting to the student, from day-to-day stations, science, news, business or any topic of interest for you.
