About Guiomar

My name is Guiomar and I was born in Barcelona-Spain 46 years ago.

I got the official certificate as a Spanish teacher for foreigners in 2011 in Barcelona and since then I have been combining being a Spanish teacher with my job as a Shelter Advisor-Disaster Management for international NGOs around the world.

While studying at school and university I studied English, French, Portuguese and Italian.

My experience learning many different languages while working in Senegal, Tanzania, Germany, India, Tonga, Vanuatu has given me the chance to re-learn how to teach a new language and being able to communicate.

Nowadays I am living in India and have known through colleagues about this fantastic learning Internet platform!

My experience as a teacher has been always very enriching and positive and I enjoy it immensely.

Teaching online has been a new fantastic challenge for me. Up of now has been a great experience with lots of fun.

About the lesson

The communicative approach is the method I use in my classes, based on the idea that language is best learned through having to communicate real meaning and facilitating interaction while using natural strategies. Just as we learned when you were children!

After getting the official certificate as a Spanish teacher for foreigners in 2011 in International House in Barcelona-Spain I have been teaching Spanish to children and adults of all ages.

AULA (Editorial Difusión) are the books we are going to be using in our classes. AULA has from beginner’s level (A1) to proficiency level (C2). Lots of materials are included (listening, writing, pronunciation, exercises) being the oral communication the main key since day one!

Classes are usually one to one for better results and the duration can be adjusted to your needs (30 min to 1 hour). Google Meet is an easy platform to use for the online classes.
