About Lucia

Hi! I'm Lucia..

I currently work as a registered nurse on a very busy acute specialist medical ward.

I wanted to venture into tutoring as I feel that I had a very different learning experience at university when compared with most of my peers.

I found it difficult to retain much of the information I'd recieve during lectures and seminars, and on reflection, I now realise that much of what I have learned was down to methods I used outside of university, to retain that information.

I also decided to tutor because I want to help students strip their studies back to the core of what nursing really is. The heart of it. I want to help other people express their compassion, and love for this vocation through their academic work. I believe that if you really, truly care about making a difference to the lives of others and you can do this empathically, you're already halfway there.

About the lesson

As we all have different learning styles, I feel that it is important to first establish yours. This way you and I can create a plan that is tailored to suit your needs and ensure that you reach your full potential. I can be flexible in my tutoring style. Again, this all depends on what type of learner you are - that I will establish during our first free consultation. I want you to feel reassured that I will provide you with 1:1 tutoring to enable you to feel confident as you navigate through nursing studies, and ACE your assignments.

I have over three years experience in tutoring. My lessons can be as short as 30 minutes, up to an hour long.
