About Paul
I am a 23 year-old Malawian student at the University of Cape Town, and have been living in Cape Town for six years. It has been wonderful, I started tutoring in 2020 at the university but quickly found that many learners seek an understanding of concepts beyond the test results. I started breaking down concepts for students who asked for help using detailed pdfs, this way the students were able to engage with the material in a more explanatory and direct fashion.
I am passionate about teaching subjects in Mechanics, I believe a solid understanding of Mechanics will aid any student in their career journey, in particular the aspiring engineers, of which the numbers have been reducing as of recent. My teaching style will be such that the student recognizes the role of these concepts as they are learning them, to maximize how they may be applied in future.

I use a lot of real-world engineering examples and illustrations to explain concepts in mechanics. I also use an interactive tutor to learner dialogue concerning the concepts of interest. This is to maximize the understanding of these concepts.
I am also quite available to assess the learner's workings and approach, giving the student valuable tools along the way to efficiently and effectively attack problems in Engineering Mechanics subjects.
