About Karen

Hello, I am Karen, a Chinese teacher from Taiwan. I majored in Chinese in college. You might wonder why someone whose native language is Chinese would choose to major in it. The reason is that, like any other language, Chinese has many fascinating aspects and deep meanings within it. When I teach Chinese to non-native speakers, I have discovered that the most interesting and fun way to learn is through practical Chinese that can be applied in real-life situations. This is why I have always adopted a gamified teaching approach, hoping that students can enjoy every lesson and have fun while learning. In addition, since I have experience in painting and event planning, I like to work with my students to discuss learning plans and schedules, ensuring that both teacher and student are comfortable with the learning pace. I also introduce simple drawing activities to start the learning journey, and even students who don't know how to draw enjoy the drawing segments. This is my teaching background, and I look forward to creating a wonderful Chinese learning experience together!

About the lesson

In my teaching method, I incorporate learning through games, which is ideal for those who have no prior knowledge of Chinese but are eager to learn. My most interesting materials allow you to learn through topics related to daily life, food, tourist spots, or anything else that sparks your interest.
