About Jack
I am a second-year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Florida, though I am native to the Philadelphia Area. I am an honors student and have been named to the dean's list for consecutive semesters at UF. Additionally, I have received A's in chemistry and calculus at the highest undergraduate levels as well as 5's on AP chemistry, AP calculus BC, and AP statistics. I was also lucky enough to participate in undergraduate research through the University's Nanoscale Research Facility. I graduated summa cum laude from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School where I played soccer and ran track.

Lesson plans always begin with a friendly greeting and a brief conversation to make sure your child is engaged and ready to learn. If it is their first time, I will ask a few questions to see where they stand on the subject matter based on what you provide prior to the lesson. For a student's 2nd time onward, I will ask them to recall the previous lesson as best as possible. From then on we will dive straight into a new topic! I like to teach by example rather than simply dropping a stuffy explanation, though I take time to ensure all my students know all important terminology and correct reasoning. My main focus is to get the student solving problems as quickly as possible with me supplementing anything they might not have the first time around, as I feel that engaging with problems provides the most immersive and practical experience. Short breaks may be allotted at increasing amounts for younger students with lessons ranging from late elementary school up to AP classes (Statistics, Chemistry, Calculus).
