About Nozomi

Hi, I’m Nozomi! I grew up in Japan and now live in Sydney. After moving here, I realized how meaningful it is to share Japanese language and culture with people from different backgrounds. I’m a friendly and easygoing tutor who loves helping students learn real, natural Japanese they can use in daily life. I’m very flexible—if you want conversation, travel phrases, cultural explanations, or practical Japanese, I can customize everything for you. I’d love to help you enjoy the process and reach your goals step by step!

I’m a friendly and flexible native Japanese tutor, and I personalize every lesson based on each student’s goals. Whether you want to improve conversation, learn useful daily Japanese, study for travel, or practice speaking naturally, I adjust the content to match your level and interests. Because I’m a native speaker, I can teach natural expressions, pronunciation, and real-life Japanese that textbooks don’t always cover. I’m also living in Sydney now, so I understand the challenges English speakers face when learning Japanese. I’m not focused on extremely detailed or advanced grammar theory, but I’m very good at explaining everyday grammar in a simple and clear way. My goal is to support you, encourage you, and help you make steady progress. I always keep the atmosphere friendly and comfortable, so you can ask anything and learn at your own pace. Let’s work together to achieve your Japanese goals!
