About Manasa

After my A-Levels, I studied English Literature at King's College London. I have a real passion for the arts and humanities, but also enjoy the sciences. I will be going on to study graduate medicine at Newcastle University.

I know firsthand how stressful the med application process can be, and am keen to share my strategies and advice to help students succeed. UCAT is one of the first obstacles in the process and it can often feel like everything rests on it. I saw a significant improvement in my UCAT scores, and crucially, this came from understanding what skills each section demands, and from recognising and targeting personal weaknesses. My final UCAT score was 2540/2700:

DM, 800
QR, 880
Having completed my BA in English Literature, and with extensive experience tutoring English language and lit, I know that there are core techniques to the dreaded Verbal Reasoning, which are key to unlocking this tricky section.

About the lesson

As an English Literature graduate from King's College London, I have extensive experience tutoring over 4 years and 500 hours. In my first application for grad med in 2025, I went from UCAT scores of around 1900 to a final score of 2540/2700. I believe that by understanding the key strategies, anyone can see significant improvements in their UCAT scores. I offer tutoring in:
- UCAT
- Med applications
- Med interview practice

With straight 9's in my GCSEs and straight A*'s at A-Level, I also offer tuition in:
- GCSE + A-Level English, Biology, and Chemistry
- 11+ English and creative writing

Session format:
- sessions are centred around student goals (such as, understanding and practising UCAT strategies, learning GCSE/A-Level syllabus content, reviewing coursework/essays, working through past paper questions, staging mock interviews)
- 1 hour sessions with targeted feedback
- sessions are designed and adapted to suit individual students' pace and grow their confidence in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere
