About Kayson
My name is Kayson, and I'm an 18-year-old recent high school graduate from Wisconsin. This fall, I'll be starting my Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a program I was accepted into due to hard work and my passion for math and science.
Outside of academics, I've spent the last two years as a swim instructor, where I developed real patience and the ability to communicate clearly with students of all ages and backgrounds. Teaching has always come naturally to me as I have four younger siblings still in school, and tutoring feels like an extension of what I do every day at home.
I am reliable and serious about helping every student I work with actually improve

My teaching style is patient and conversational. I like to begin by asking specific questions to find out where any confusion starts, instead of showing the same examples over and over. Every student learns differently, and I adjust to you, not the other way around.
A typical session with me starts by identifying what's giving you trouble, talking about the concept together until it clicks, then working through problems together before working independently.
I specialize in helping middle and high school students with Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Physics. Regardless of current ability, there is always a path to better prepare yourself for future learning.
What sets me apart is simple: I recently went through these high school classes myself and noticed firsthand what my peers and I found most troublesome. Working through this experience more recently than most tutors allows me to better connect and relate with someone going through it right now.
