About Kate

I have ten years experience in chemistry and have co-authored multiple scientific articles. I currently work on the pharmaceutical industry. I am really passionate about science and would love to share that with you. I have previous tutoring experience and I'm good at breaking down difficult concepts.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to suit the needs of the student and typically involve solving problem sets and practice exams together. When we first meet I will look at the curriculum in your course and I can provide additional related materials. I also allow students to send me their homework and questions in advance so the lessons can be as productive as possible.

Kate is a very respectful, encouraging and kind chemist. When I was just an undergrad working on her project in lab, she always made my questions feel welcome, treated me kindly like a peer, and was available. Kate's obviously great at chemistry, but she's also a great mentor: she passionately explains ideas, meets you where you're at and makes concepts accessible. I recommend her fully!
