Graduating with a BMus from McGill gave me the tools, but teaching for 13 years taught me that perfect technique should feel invisible. Many singers force their sound, yet the best resonance comes from letting go of tension. I work with working professionals and grade exam candidates who need to balance power with delicate control. We dive into sight singing and pitch control through the RCM syllabus framework.
My approach to head and chest voice is rooted in a deep understanding of anatomy. I emphasize vocal health and care to ensure longevity for every student. It is refreshing to see a student finally find their authentic voice after weeks of focused work.
