About Paola

I have been a private tutor in both Italian and English languages for the past 3 years. All students were starting from a basic A1- A2 level and have now reached at least a B1 level, being able to have conversations and attend language exams certifications successfully.

About the lesson

I am an Italian woman currently doing a PhD at the University of Leicester. I have a Diploma di Maturità Classica (A-Levels) in Latin, Italian, History and Philosophy as I am very passionate about culture in general. Italian can be taught both in an oral and written way, it is important to practise both aspects. In addition, in order to understand better and familiarise yourself with language, I believe it is essential to also learn a bit about the culture of a country.

Perfect! I have been taking Italian lessons with Paola for a few months now and would recommend her to anybody who is looking to learn Italian.

Paola is patient, helpful, easy to get along with and my Italian is progressing. Since the COVID-19 lockdown began, we have been using Skype for classes, which works just as well. Grazie Paola!
