About Kyle
I have studied Japanese for 10 years, and additionally lived in Japan for three years. I have experience teaching Japanese at an elite British boarding school, and have successfully taken classes through the GCSE secondary exam rounds with very high grades. I have a passion for the language and the culture, and aim to convey that to my students.

I have a strong understanding of the culture and language of Japan that comes from a curiosity derived from years of studying and living in the country and with its people. In line with this, I work best with students who have a similar natural fascination and a drive to succeed.
I approach all of my students on an individual basis and seek to understand their particular goals in learning Japanese before tailoring the material around achieving those aims.
A typical lesson will involve reviewing topics covered in previous classes, leaning new vocabulary and grammar to achieve that class' aims, and finally applying what they have learned in real-world situations and contexts. I tend to set a little homework, though I treat it as preparation for the next lession rather than reviewing what has already been covered.
