About Alice

I am highly motivated to help students develop their language skills and confidence. I believe speaking a different language is a huge asset in a world where many people limit themselves to just speaking English. It would be great for students to one day be able to seize new opportunities abroad and interact with French speakers.

About the lesson

I am a competent and kind tutor, immediately available for summer tuition.

I achieved an A* in GCSE French and an A grade in A Level French.
I have bilingual proficiency in French, having completed a First Class Bachelor's degree (in Psychology) entirely in the French language and lived in Switzerland for a total of 5 years. I am competent in explaining unfamiliar notions such as grammar which students may struggle to grasp initially.

I have taught for one year in a London school and tutored for one year with great results, including a student moving up a set.

Lessons are tailored to the curriculum of the student, specific examinations and the student's needs.

I ascertain particular areas of difficulty to be addressed and provide clear explanations. I am patient when working through areas of difficulty. A strong element of my lessons is preparation for specific examinations - working through example questions together to build confidence and competence early on.
My aim is to see students fulfil and exceed their potential, as well as develop an enjoyment for the subject.
