About Brooke

Hi,

My name is Brooke and I have 4 years experience teaching English Literature and English Language to GCSE students and KS3. I have had over 30 students and over 300+ hours worth of experience tutoring 1:1 and in a group setting.

I received two 9's (equivalent to an A*) in English Literature and also English Language at GCSE and an A in English Literature at A level, which led me to want to study the subject further at the University of Birmingham. I have a broad knowledge and great understanding of the GCSE English specification as I worked with PMT Education during the summer of 2019 to create English Literature resources for GCSE students. Therefore, I know a lot about what examiners are looking for in these exams.

Additionally, I have two years of classroom based experience helping and working with children who have SEN such as ASD and ADHD.

If my student is clear on what they need to work on to improve then my classes with them will be based on, but not excluded to, the topics they wish to prioritise first.
