About Darcy

My name is Darcy - I'm a 33 year old language tutor living in Seaford, Victoria.

Let's have FUN while I teach you some cool skills! Becoming fluent in a second languages is an invaluable, lifelong skill! It's always impressive when you meet someone who only speaks their language and you can communicate with them. Prepare for your friends' minds to be blown ;)

I am highly passionate about languages! One of my goals in life is to become a polyglot and be native fluent in 3 languages other than English! I have studied advanced level Spanish at undergraduate level (RMIT, private university in Buenos Aires, Argentina) whilst living there. I have travelled to approximately 10 different countries that speak Spanish and so have a broad, polished understanding of Spanish culture and language.
I've also studied upper intermediate French and Italian at university level and privately and so can teach basic and intermediate level.

I am very honest as a teacher and if I believe you are too advanced for my level of knowledge in any subject - I will let you know and recommend another, more appropriate teacher :)

About the lesson

My approach is flexible and I will adapt my teaching to your level :) I am very passionate about languages & hope to instill this passion in all my students. I will utilise textbooks, language apps, (encourage holidays to Spanish/French speaking countries) and ensure you learn all the important areas of language i.e. reading, writing, listening and of course speaking.

I'll have you conversing with me in no time :P

Spanish lessons - Beginner to advanced
French lessons - Beginner to upper intermediate

Languages - ages 5-adult

Qualifications:

Studied Advanced Spanish at undergraduate level - Fluent
Studied Upper Intermediate French at undergraduate level - Upper intermediate Fluency.
Lesson duration: 30mins to 1 hour (happy to be flexible)

It must be a combination of FUN and hard work to get long term results. If you are looking to really achieve some serious goals I will help you create a plan to go all the way. Or perhaps you just wish to learn Spanish/French or Flute as a fun new hobby which is no problem either way :)
