About Lisa
I am a Project Manager in the Health Industry. I enjoy empowering people to do better. I write many reports and articles, some needing to be persuasive, others enlightening.
I have tutored part-time for 6 years. My most encouraging moment was a learner who had struggled so much with second-language English that she was failing all her subjects. One day she said to me, "This poem! I understand it! It speaks to my soul! I feel alive now, I love English, teach me more Lisa! I want to become an actress and speak English all the time!" I will give credit to Sipho Sipamla for touching her with the words in his poem Da Same, Da Same.
To me, that is worth more than a percentage, even though she passed all her subjects because of her grown love for the language which drove her effort.
