About Sultanah

I am a young professional and I understand the hardships of school at any level, I have seen both sides of the coin as a student and learning support assistant. I have always wanted to support student learning and success after seeing the difficulties that my students faced inside and outside classroom walls. I, myself, had a tutor in my final year of IB that allowed me to achieve a top grade in Maths and I therefore heavily understand the significance of such support during this time.

I am here to be a guide and to help in any way through the academic experience, and I hope you can help me to support my ambitions in academics.

About the lesson

My teaching is centered around the particular needs of each individual student, my general lessons range from 30 minutes for students aged 6-12 and go up to 1 hour if the student is of special educational needs or is in their final years of school. My methodology in teaching is to allow the student to demonstrate their knowledge and skills and decide on which of those aspects should be the focus of the lesson, this would be dependent on student deadlines and priorities in their school life as well.

I worked as a learning support assistant at a private institution in Dubai, UAE for a year and I have taught students of special educational needs as well as students who have English as a second language. I've taught English, Maths, Sciences, and Arabic throughout this time. As a recent IB graduate achieving a 7 in English Higher Level , my lessons range from teaching the very basics of reading, spelling and phonetics to teaching English literature and writing techniques for older students.
