About Emanuel

I come from a musical family and have been playing the violin and piano since I was a child. However, I was always fascinated by the process of creating a piece and not just interpreting it, which is why I started writing small pieces and taking music theory lessons at an early age.

I am currently studying composition for film, theater and media at the Zurich University of the Arts and would like to share my previous knowledge and experience in the field of composition. My focus is on both classical and functional music (film music, theater music, etc.). However, I am also very interested in producing (electronic) music on the computer and also in jazz and pop.

In this respect I am open to almost all musical styles, but if you would like to write German Schlager, I am the wrong person to contact :)

About the lesson

My course is aimed at everyone who is interested in composing! It doesn't matter whether you already have musical experience or not, at the beginning we just look where you stand and what your wishes and goals are and then design the lessons based on this information. Possible topics are:

- Form and structure
- Harmony
- Instrumentation / orchestration
- Music + film / theater etc.
- Music producing

We can deal with these and other topics using your own compositions or through style exercises, score studies or discussions.

Perfect! Emanuel supported my son's learning of theoretical music for 1st year gymnasium (in German). He quickly understood what he needs to know and helped him organize the content and methodically, went over each topic to uncover each one that he needs more help in.
