About Amanda

Amanda has more than 30 years of experience crocheting everything from granny squares and scarves to hexagon cardigans and gorgeous sweaters! Having oceans of patience, I love teaching crochet to children and adults with a calm manner and supportive attitude - anyone can crochet, Amanda is going to show you how!

About the lesson

Are you ready to learn the basics of crochet with a relaxed, fun instructor and zero pressure? Amanda offers in-depth calm, patient crochet instruction focused on building strong foundations of the craft, such as:

Learning how to hold your hook, mastering yarn tension, the stitches that matter, and how to combine them into something special. Also along the way, you'll learn crochet abbreviations and standards to help read crochet patterns.

Amanda loves helping beginners feel confident as they learn the basics—no stress, no pressure, just supportive guidance at your pace.

This first lesson offered with Amanda will allow you to get to know each other and clearly specify your needs for your next lessons.

The fine print:

Amanda's work hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern time Monday-Friday.

I do offer extended hours (up to 9 p.m. on weekdays and weekend hours) with 24 hours notice. Happy to accommodate your schedules!

No fees/issues with cancelations or moving lesson time/date, please just let me know as soon as possible (especially younger students, I completely understand the demands of school and activities).

And if you ever have any issues or feedback, please let me know - I am happy to hear what will make our sessions better for you!
