About Peter
With over two decades of experience in film, television, and commercial production, I bring both creative expertise and practical industry knowledge to the classroom. My career has taken me across large-scale feature films, fast-turnaround TVCs, and complex VFX-driven projects, where I’ve overseen every stage of production from concept to delivery. This breadth of experience means that I understand not only the artistry of filmmaking, but also the real-world problem-solving and teamwork it requires. As a producer and project leader, I’ve worked closely with directors, writers, editors, and technical specialists, guiding projects with precision while nurturing creativity. My role has often been to bring structure to ambitious ideas, ensuring that teams deliver high-quality work on time and on budget. This balance between creativity and discipline is something I aim to pass on to my students. Teaching, for me, is about empowering emerging filmmakers with both confidence and clarity. You can expect a learning environment that is professional, supportive, and grounded in the realities of industry practice. Whether you’re exploring the basics or diving deeper into a specialist area, I will challenge you to think critically, experiment with your ideas, and develop the resilience needed to succeed in a fast-paced creative field.
