About Phillip
Hello, my name is Phillip, I'm an undergraduate student at the University of Ottawa in the political science and French immersion program, and I'm a dual Canada-US citizen of Vietnamese descent from Montréal, Canada. Having lived in both Ottawa and Montreal, I have been immersed both in English and French since my childhood and have used my bilingualism to be able to access more career and academic opportunities. Coming from the only academic institution in North America that is fully bilingual in nature, I'm excited to be using my linguistic experience to help improve your linguistic capabilities as we discover different cultures and forms of communication together.

As someone who has taught French classes in the US in a teaching immersion program and studies at a bilingual university (University of Ottawa in Canada), I have had many cross-cultural experiences that allows me to work with a variety of different backgrounds and identities. As a tutor, I would personalize all lesson plans of speaking, writing, and listening to work with your personal schedule. We will work to identify your strengths and areas of improvement. Together, we will overcome language barriers and promote bilingualism !
