In my Methodology, I use a communicative approach to teach french, adapted to the level of the students.
With the beginner levels, we work on texts dealing with everyday life situations. Through this, students learn grammar, vocabulary, and syntax, while working on the accuracy of pronunciation. With the intermediate students, the same work is carried out, on texts (according to the preferences of the students) relating to French culture (history, art, sciences, environment, etc.) in order to bring them to perfect their knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, syntax, and pronunciation, while introducing them to French culture.
At the end of each course, an evaluation is carried out to adjust the course to the student's expectations.
Timeline for a one-hour lesson:
10 min: text reading,
20 mins: vocabulary and grammar,
15 mins: exercises built from vocabulary and new verbs acquired through the lesson,
15 mins: oral summary of the text and discussion.
Evaluation of the course based on the student's assessment and remarks allowing the next lesson to be adjusted to their expectations.
Type of student: a person of any age, beginner or professional, wishing to learn French or improve their knowledge of French language and culture, for professional purposes or simply for general culture.
