About Foster

I teach flute with passion, creativity, and care. My lessons are designed to help students think critically and play with expression. I act as a mentor who supports both musical and personal growth. Accountability plays a big role in my teaching—I help students take charge of their own learning. Each lesson includes creative activities to keep motivation high. I encourage students to explore new ideas and make music their own. We focus on tone, phrasing, and technique while keeping lessons fun and engaging. I teach students how to listen deeply and improve through reflection. My lessons include music theory and rhythm exercises to build full understanding. I create a positive space where students can ask questions freely. I celebrate progress and help students set meaningful goals. My teaching style is flexible and fits the student’s age, pace, and interest. I believe that learning the flute should build confidence and patience. I help students practice effectively and stay organized. I also teach related subjects like theory and performance skills. My goal is to help students become expressive, confident, and thoughtful musicians.
