About Nicola
Ciao! I'm Nicola, an Italian native speaker, born and raised in Italy and now living in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Italy is much more than the country where I was born. It is part of who I am, how I think, how I communicate, and how I see the world.
For more than 25 years, I was actively involved in Italian political, public, and institutional life, holding positions of responsibility at both regional and national levels. My professional journey has also included management, administration, and private teaching.
These experiences gave me the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds, exchange ideas, speak in public, and appreciate the importance of choosing the right words to express a thought, an emotion, or an opinion.
But beyond my professional background, I have always believed that language is one of the most beautiful ways to connect people.
Living in Canada has made me appreciate even more the richness of my native language and the extraordinary cultural heritage behind it. It has also helped me understand what it means to approach a different language and culture.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge, listening to others, and helping people discover something new. I believe that learning should be a rewarding experience, built on patience, curiosity, encouragement, and mutual respect.
When you learn Italian with me, you will meet someone who loves his language, knows his country deeply, and genuinely enjoys sharing both with others.
I would be delighted to accompany you on your Italian journey.

Learning Italian is more than memorizing words and grammar rules. It is about discovering a language, understanding its culture, and gaining the confidence to communicate naturally.
As a native Italian speaker with private teaching experience and more than 25 years in Italian public and professional life, I bring something different to my lessons: not only a strong knowledge of the language, but also a lifetime of experience using it in conversation, writing, public speaking, and everyday situations.
My lessons are personalized to your level, interests, and goals.
If you are a beginner, we will build a solid foundation in pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and everyday conversation, progressing step by step at a comfortable pace.
If you already speak some Italian, we will work on improving your fluency, expanding your vocabulary, refining your grammar, and helping you express yourself with greater confidence.
Each lesson combines clear explanations, practical exercises, and real conversation. I believe that understanding how a language works is important, but being able to use it naturally is what truly matters.
And along the way, I would love to introduce you to the Italy I know: its traditions, its people, its expressions, and those little details that make Italian such a beautiful and fascinating language.
My goal is simple: to help you not only learn Italian, but enjoy speaking it.
