About Parikhit

Parikhit Sikdar

Philosophy Honors | M.A. in Philosophy | B.Ed.

I am Parikshit Sikdar, a dedicated Philosophy educator with an academic background in Philosophy Honors and M.A. in Philosophy, along with a B.Ed. qualification.

I have successfully qualified several competitive examinations, including Primary TET, Bihar State TET, WBSSC and WB State-level examinations. I have also written numerous academic papers, which has strengthened my subject knowledge, analytical ability and academic approach.

My teaching is focused on helping students understand Philosophy rather than simply memorizing it. I follow a systematic method of topic-wise discussion, answer writing, revision, regular tests and individual doubt-clearing.

My aim is to help every student develop strong conceptual clarity, effective writing skills and confidence in examinations.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach
I believe Philosophy is not just about memorizing answers—it is about understanding concepts clearly and expressing them effectively.
My teaching method follows a systematic approach:
1. Topic-wise Discussion
First, I discuss each topic in detail so that students develop a clear understanding of the subject.
2. Guided Writing Practice
After understanding the topic, students are guided to write answers in a proper and exam-oriented manner.
3. Regular Revision & Oral Assessment
The next day, I revise the previous lesson and assess students to ensure that they have understood the topic properly.
4. Regular Tests & Evaluation
I conduct regular tests to identify students’ strengths and weaknesses and to improve their writing and examination skills.
5. Doubt Clearing & Concept Correction
Wherever a student faces difficulty, I go back to that particular area and explain it again until the concept becomes clear.
This consistent process of Understanding → Writing → Revision → Testing → Doubt Clearing helps students build strong concepts, confidence and better examination performance.
Many students who have studied with me have achieved excellent academic results. Some of my former students are now pursuing PhD research, while others have successfully established themselves in their professional careers.
