About Daniel

Nervous about dancing? Good, most of my students start exactly there.

I'm Daniel Seven, a professional dancer and choreographer with over 20 years of teaching experience and more than 5,000 students taught, from New York to Tokyo. I help complete beginners go from "I can't dance" to dancing with confidence, whether it's for a night out, a wedding, a performance or just for fun.

I teach Salsa, Hip Hop and street, wedding dances, choreography, freestyle, contemporary and cultural dances.

I started as a street dancer myself, so I know what it's like to learn without a roadmap. I break every move down until it clicks, keep it fun, and never make you feel silly for starting.

About the lesson

Every lesson is one-to-one and built around you: your level, your music, your goal. I come to you or teach live online, whichever suits your schedule.

In your first session we'll talk through your goals, cover the foundations of your chosen style, and finish with either a short routine or a clear plan for what's next. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes you can move in.

Perfect! My lesson with Daniel was one of the most fun things I've done this year. I'm a complete beginner / novice and have always wanted to be able to dance but have been too nervous to try - I finally took the plunge and Daniel made me feel completely at ease. Salsa: timing, basic steps, turns, partner connection and social dancing confidence
Hip Hop and street: grooves, foundations, freestyle and learning choreography

Where and how:

I come to you, at your home or a space of your choice, across London and the surrounding areas (up to 1 hour).
Or learn live online from anywhere, with a clear view of the moves and real-time feedback
One-to-one only, so every minute is about you
Solo or with a partner.

What to expect:

Session 1: We set your goals, cover the foundations of your chosen style, and finish with a short routine or a clear plan
Following sessions: New material builds on the last, at a pace that suits you
Total Beginners are very welcome; most of my students have never danced before.

What you need:

Comfortable clothes and shoes you can move in
A bit of clear floor space, about 4mx4m minimum for home or online lessons
