About Roger
I have taught Short Story writing at University level, as an elective course. I had a 4.5 star course on Udemy--How To Write What You Know, which had more than 5,000 enrolled students. I have had flash fiction stories published both online and in a print anthology. I hold a Master's degree in Creative Writing from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Teaching is imparting knowledge then, where possible, ensuring that the student can use the knowledge, usually by assigning tasks. The whole point of having a live teacher is to get feedback and tips for improvement. So in my classes students are--one step at a time--given pointers to generate subject-matter, weave story structures out of it, and end up with something that simply needs fleshing out into a story.
