About Camilo

Hola, yo soy Camilo, come and learn or improve your Spanish in fun, dynamic and practical lessons.

I have taught for ten years, and I know how languages work and how people learn best.

My background is in Teaching English and Spanish for speakers of other languages.

Back in Colombia, I used to teach academic Spanish in a top-ranked university.

Here in Sydney I teach English and Spanish to children and adults.

I do special education too, so I'm ready for any type of learning mode and needs.

Learn like a pro with a pro ;)

About the lesson

First lesson is free because we discuss your needs, interests and identify how you learn best.

The main strategy varies if you are learning Spanish for love, travel, work or fun.

Different needs, mean different priorities, and different texts you will master (small talk is a text too).

You learn vocabulary while practicing structures and we focus on the language you will use in specific situations.

We keep it as real as possible, and from day one we begin to interact in Spanish.

From there on we build on what you know stretching your knowledge in each lesson.

Your voice is what I value the most, so your feedback to adapt the lessons to your needs is the key.

I have been learning Spanish with Camilo which thus far has been a challenging and wonderful journey. Camilo is acutely adept at tailoring his teaching in the most optimised and efficient manner to which you learn. In fact, he spent over 1 hour during our initial consultation ascertaining exactly my predisposition in learning new concepts and curated the lessons around my personal interested which make lessons that much more interesting and engaging. I now do not hesitate to recommend Camilo as a teacher as its truly inspiring his dedication to helping people and mastering the role of a teacher.

Thanks to Camillo and his dedication to his profession, I definitely stepped in a better comfort zone when I relate myself in English. This happened over just a few weeks of lessons and homework. I found his way of teaching to be beneficial in building knowledge and excellent understanding of the language.
He has been able, through an initial assessment, to address my significant obstacles and support me to achieve a high score in IELTS. I couldn’t be happier to be one of his students and have the opportunity to grow my communication skills.
