About Nathalia
I'm Nathalia, originally from Colombia, and I'm thrilled at the opportunity to be your Spanish language and culture tutor! With my qualifications, experience, and passion for education, I'm confident that I can be an excellent tutor for you! With a Master's degree in TESOL and Linguistics, along with a Bachelor's in English and French, and a Spanish teaching certificate, I am well-equipped to offer effective teaching methods and solid linguistic knowledge to help you reach your language goals.
In addition to that, in my six years of teaching experience, I've had the pleasure of working with students from various backgrounds and age groups, from pre-K to college level and adults. These experiences have provided me with a deep understanding of the language learning process, allowing me to tailor lessons to meet the unique needs of each student.
Outside of teaching, I'm passionate about coffee-making, gardening, and savoring new cuisines. I believe that language learning is not only about mastering grammar and vocabulary but also about embracing the richness of communication and cultural exchange.

When it comes to my teaching approach, I firmly believe in the principle of 'learning by doing'. Thus, my lessons provide a clear goal, incorporate real-life situations, and encourage interaction. For example, some of the things that have worked for my students in the past include short student presentations about topics of their interest (e.g. a city, a book, climate change), role plays (e.g. state agents and buyers), planning a fictional trip to a place they would love to go, planning a party, creating an imaginary business, and many more!
I offer lessons for students at any proficiency level, age, and goals for learning Spanish!
