About Laura

Born and raised in Madrid, Spain, Laura is a passionate tutor. She comes from an artistic family and was raised in a bilingual English/Spanish background. She studied in Escuela Libre Micael in Madrid from kindergarten until 10th grade. At the same time as she was going to school she studied in the Carmen Conde Conservatory of Music from age eight until she was sixteen. She received her undergrad degree in Cello Performance at the University of the Pacific Music Conservatory in Stockton, California. She has lived in Spain, New York, Italy and California. She is currently living in Sacramento. Because of her experience with languages and her international background Laura enjoys teaching people new languages.

About the lesson

My teaching method is based on the students needs. If there is homework needed for the class, I will go over it and help/correct it. If what the student is looking for is more conversation to become more fluent, I will bring different topics of discussion to each session. I also like to work with verbs and vocabulary to help the student become more confident. I will work on oral skills, writing skills and practicing conversations and anything else the student needs.
