About Maria
I'm a native Spanish speaker who has spent over 5 years living across the UK, from the Scottish Highlands to Wales and Bristol, and I still move between Spain and the UK today.
Honestly? I never enjoyed conventional language classes. Too rigid, too far from real life. That's exactly why I teach differently.
My background is anything but traditional. I studied Visual Arts, work in the cultural sector, and have trained abroad in facilitation and wellbeing.
I'm a total music obsessive, a film lover and someone who is always switched on to what's happening culturally. That's not just who I am outside the classroom, it's what I bring into every session.
I teach both Spanish and English the same way: through real conversation, culture and the kind of language you'll actually use. No scripts, no textbooks. Just honest, engaging classes built around you.
I believe the best way to learn a language is through the culture behind it, the music people listen to, the films they watch, the way they talk to each other. That's what makes language stick.

Learning a language should feel like an adventure, not a chore.
My classes are 50 minutes of real, practical Spanish.
No textbooks, no boring grammar drills. We start every session with tongue twisters to get your mouth and ear tuned in, then dive into role play and real life conversations based on what YOU actually need.
First class is always about you, where you're going, who you want to talk to, what scares you about speaking. From there, every session is built around that.
I lived across the UK for years (Highlands, Wales and Bristol) so I know exactly what it feels like to be thrown into a language and culture you don't fully understand yet. That experience shapes everything about how I teach.
My goal is simple: by the end of our classes, you can walk into any Spanish speaking situation and hold your own.
