About Sarah
My fluency in French comes from true immersion. As a Peace Corps Volunteer, I was assigned to a French-speaking country in West Africa. I underwent intensive language training and then spent two years living and working entirely in French. This experience taught me how to learn and teach a language for genuine communication, not just for passing a test. With four years of tutoring experience, I am passionate about helping students build not just language skills, but also cultural understanding and empathy.

Bonjour! To me, learning a language is about opening your mind and your heart to a new culture. My French lessons are immersive and communication-focused. We will build a strong foundation in grammar and vocabulary, but always with the goal of using the language to express your own ideas and understand others. We will explore French culture, listen to music, and practice real-world conversations to make the language come alive and to build your confidence as a global citizen.
