About Cat

I started crocheting nearly 30 years ago in a cabin in the middle of nowhere in Montana, and I'd go outside to crochet next to the wild deer to escape my loud cousins.

(And if this sounds like the start of a 90s Disney movie, it absolutely should be.)

The only problem: All my aunts were right handed, and I'm a leftie.

That began my obsessive search for all left-handed crochet info (of which there wasn't much), so I'm determined to teach all leftie future fiber artists how to master the art of crochet.

Or at least to not get tangled in the yarn.

About the lesson

Southpaws, if you've been watching all those crochet lessons on YouTube and struggling to keep up with all the confusing right-handed instructions, then welcome to the left-handed side of the crochet world!

I've got nearly 30 years of crocheting under my belt, and I can teach you anything from the basic to more advanced stitches, and we can follow a pattern together in real time. Anything from wearables (like scarves, hats, cardigans) to amigurumi to organizational boxes, cat toys, holiday decorations, and more (so much more!) are fair game.

I prefer teaching older teenagers and adults, and I have a conversational teaching style.
