About Leila
I am traditionally gypsy, descended from the Moors. I grew up learning the Romany dance, gypsy tap, the Zambra live. Along my walk, I sought to deepen my best knowledge in the field of dance, studying classical ballet with Olimpio Paiva, Jazz also with Olimpio Paiva. Belly dance with Lulu Sabongi, Hayet Xerfan, Sofia Fahd and African Soteropolitano with Carlos Ujhama. In addition to better knowledge in gypsy dance encompassing ghawazee, kawlya, chocek, karsilama, Sulukule and folk dances from the Balkans. With over 20 years of dedication, I have formed many dancers, among them Claudia Ran'na.
