Stani is an incredible tutor. He has a rare blend of sensitivity, technical proficiency, creativity and dedication. He always went out of his way to tailor lessons to my needs and was able to get me to focus in a way that actually allowed me to retain the info! I would recommend him to anyone.
Faris, The HorrorsStani was my guitar teacher in school, he always did a great job and helped me achieve my Rockschool exams. He is patient and worked at my pace but never held back incorporating more advanced techniques.
A wonderful teacher to our son for many years from 8 to 18. As others have said, Stanislav himself is an amazing guitar player but particularly important for us he is supportive, kind and fun, qualities that we felt were so important when introducing our son to the demands of classical music. Quite simply we feel it has given our son an amazing start and grounding in life.
First, Stanislav is an incredibly skilled guitar player himself which is relevant to you and me because he has an understanding of musical theory, different types of notation, he can transcribe and transpose any song that you'd like to learn and give you several ways of playing it in more than one way. He has classical and jazz background and can teach you classical or strumming technics depending on your objectives. Basically Stanislav can meet you at your level, no matter whether you are a beginner looking to strum yoru first chords or an advanced player looking to improvise more freely. Secondly, Stanislav is just a great human being, genuinely looking to make a contribution to his students musical journey. I will come back to Stanislav without any hesitation for more instruction as I look to refresh or progress my command of the instrument.
I studied for a few years with Stanislav, having weekly lessons with him. He is extremely skilled at the guitar and bass, it would be hard to find a tutor that has better knowledge and skills in guitar playing. He was very friendly and made lessons really fun, he also tailored lessons to my taste and goals. I found the lessons very inspiring and subsequently went on to study music at university.
We have known Stanislav since 2009 and he gave both our sons guitar lessons.. they both had lessons for electric and acoustic or classic guitar. Stanislav was so patient with them and shiwed great skills and competence in dealing with children of young age (our sons started from the age of 5). Stanislav can make the lessons fun and enjoyable while still ensuring the students learn a lot and improve. His choice of songs and his obvious passion about playing guitar is capable of getting young students hooked to playing guitar- which is great.
Stani was an incredible guitar teacher to our daughter Milla. He made it fun, he was patient and it was always a pleasure to hear him play the guitar too! I would gladly recommend Stani.
I am honoured to write this letter of recommendation for Maestro Stanislav Hvartchilkov, an extraordinary classical guitar teacher who has been an invaluable mentor to my daughter for five years. Under his expert guidance, she has not only progressed through all her graded examinations with distinction but has also developed a profound understanding of musicality, performance artistry, and the discipline required to excel in music.
Stanislav is more than just a teacher. He is a true mentor who nurtures both technical skill and artistic expression. His patience, dedication, and ability to inspire have shaped my daughter’s playing in ways that go far beyond notes on a page. He has instilled in her a deep appreciation for the emotional and intellectual aspects of music, helping her grow into a confident and expressive performer.
What sets Stanislav apart is his approach to teaching. He emphasizes not only flawless technique but also stage presence, interpretation, and the right attitude toward practice and performance. His encouragement has given my daughter confidence and the passion to pursue music with joy and commitment.
Any student would be incredibly fortunate to learn under his guidance. His expertise, warmth, and unwavering support make him an exceptional educator, and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking a teacher who cultivates both mastery and a lifelong love for music.
Stanislav was teaching my daughter playing guitar. He was very patient, caring and inspiring. He is a brilliant musician!
Stani taught my daughter for a few years. He is a wonderful teacher.. passionate about his subject, detailed in his approach and goes the extra mile for his students.
Stani is the most wonderful teacher. He imbues every class with joy and laughter, while also doing a great job at helping me improve. There is nobody else I could imagine learning guitar from.
Stani is the most amazing and inspiring teacher my children and I have ever had. He’s so good at explaining “how to” and teaches with all his heart, immensely committed and encouraging to his students.
I've had the absolute pleasure of taking guitar lessons with Stanislav, and I can honestly say he's one of the most talented, patient, and inspiring teachers I’ve ever met. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced player looking to sharpen your skills, Stanislav meets you exactly where you are and helps you grow with every lesson.
His deep knowledge of music theory, technique, and style is only matched by his ability to explain complex ideas in a way that actually makes sense. He’s incredibly encouraging, always pushing you to do your best while keeping the process fun and rewarding. I’ve made more progress with him in a few months than I did in years of trying to teach myself.
Stanislav brings a genuine passion for music that’s contagious. Every lesson feels like a collaborative journey rather than just instruction. He’s professional, kind, and genuinely invested in his students’ success. I can’t recommend him highly enough—if you’re thinking about learning guitar, Stanislav is the teacher you want by your side.
Stani has been teaching my daughter classical guitar from age 9 to 18. He is a talented and meticulous teacher, who is endlessly patient and enthusiastic. He has helped my daughter achieve Grade 8, as well as an invitation to join the National Youth Guitar Ensemble. We highly recommend Stani for classical, acoustic and electric guitar lessons.
Stanislav is registered teacher, working full time in this profession. He is a virtuoso guitar player. His arrangements of Bach and other composers, have been critically aclaimed. I have been his student for 10 years- studying classical repertoire, blues and jazz. He is a highly skilled tutor and I highly recommend him.
He is not only a super talented musician but also a very patient and encouraging teacher. He will instill a love of learning and playing guitar to any student!
Stanislav is a true virtuoso and it is a privilege to learn from his experience!
I think I found Stani at the Royal Academy of Music. (I live nearby) . Stani taught me for some 2 years. I was impressed with the diversity of music in his repertoire (classical to blues etc) and his patient and cheerful disposition. Lessons with Stani brought a ray of sunshine into my day.
Stan is a committed and enthusiastic teacher with a creative and compassionate approach to education. As well as having a broad range of experience teaching a variety of styles, he is an excellent performer and composer, able to offer advice in all aspects of music.
Stani is a phenomenal guitar teacher and a complete maestro which makes him an absolute inspiration for the student .
