English can be my tool to teach Chinese. I will offer comprehensive Chinese teaching including reading, writing, listening and much on speaking. My aim is to make my students like native Chinese speakers. Of course, Chinese culture and history are an indispensable part of my teaching. My teaching methods are: teaching + practicing + communicating. I base my class on how I learn Chinese and other teaching apps. For example, I will teach you about 1 hour in total: I will teach 35 minutes, practice 15 minutes and communicate for 10 minutes about what you are interested in or what is your problem. I am very patient and energetic, and I will try my best to make you understand.
- There will be a Quiz in the First Class, including Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, to Determine Which Level You Are. - Different Study Plans will be Created for Different Individuals and Groups. - Homework will be assigned for Practising or Review.
. I have taught Chinese to both native and non-native students with AP or IB standards over 8 years. My duties include teaching classes, writing reports, marking homework & examination papers and communicating with parents for desiderated class.
I used to teach both English and Chinese to a Japanese sophomore who was an exchange student in China. I customized the Japanese student’s study plan with appropriate materials and clear learning objectives by using Japanese culture and international students’ life as a trigger to teach her vocabulary.
My teaching method is based on inquiry and practical application. I design lesson that help learners seek the information they need for the area that they want to apply it in.
Vocabulary plays an important role in my teaching methods. I will teach my students some basic words and some daily conversations. The second step is to practice. I will talk with my students in Chinese as much as possible. I will also recommend some Chinese TV shows and movies to them, to improve their listening skills.
My teaching methodology would be mostly through role play, lecture, and give out some small projects such as do a small report about a Chinese movie they choose or some document about China and things in Chinese history. Also things like let them talk with me everytime they come to class in Mandarin.
