My methodology varies per individual: Initially, I engage in conversation with the student with the purpose of understanding their knowledge, strengths and weaknesses on the topic of discussion. Then, based upon the provided information, I formulate sequential and gradual lessons to help them start from what they know towards what they wish to know.
I approach my classes with structure but allow flexibility. I pay close attention to the students learning style, strengths, and weaknesses. Typical Class: - Math games involving dice, whiteboards, cards etc. - Lesson - Supervised work: ensure the student has practice on solving problems together, but also individually.
