About Habeebah
Hello. My name is Habeebah.
I am currently a law student at the University of Birmingham.
As a tutor, I will teach top tips to my students, alongside motivating them to work towards their full capability. I will set them homework, which I will mark and assess using a mark scheme; I will also give them feedback so they can improve upon their essay writing skills. In my sessions I will also be going through past exam papers so my students can get used to the kinds of questions asked by examiners; I will be going through theoretical perspectives with them and I will give them the opportunity to see exemplary answers, and to ask me questions too.
My tutorial session will be structured differently depending on how far the students’ exam is. My general structure for the entire tutoring period will be to: Go through the specimen paper with the student, so they know what the examiners can ask. Go through the content of each paper, so I can quiz them and help them revise. Go through the general exam structure of each question that can be asked, such as a 4-mark Question. Help the student write perfect exam answers, so they get the hang of it. And once exam time is near I will go through existing exam papers with the student
Throughout each session, I will provide them with homework so I can mark them in our sessions and go through it with them. If a piece of homework is not done well, I will go through it with the student and will ask them to redo it, so they are able to improve themselves. This will also allow me to see if they are making any improvements too. I can encourage students to learn by giving them motivational support and advice. My tutorials will be planned in advance, and I will deliver them in a variety of ways to keep my students engaged; for example, I may use the whiteboard to make my sessions more interactive. Through the 'my tutor' site I will keep in contact with my student through the messaging board outside of my sessions, so they can still contact me if they are stuck on some homework or they need general help.
