About Flynn
I'm a recent school-leaver who achieved A* in Maths and Physics, and A in Further Maths and Chemistry, and I've deferred my place to study Physics at Imperial College London next year. I've already spent time tutoring, helping students build confidence and improve their grades in Maths and Physics. I enjoy teaching because I remember exactly what it's like sitting these exams myself, so I know where students tend to get stuck and how to explain things clearly rather than just repeating the textbook. During my gap year I'm looking to keep tutoring GCSE Maths and Physics, adapting each session to what the individual student actually needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach."

I believe learning maths and physics is a combination of discipline and technique and success can be achieved through the tutee and I working together to ensure they obtain the best grade they can.
I have experience tutoring ages 11-16 but focus mainly on GCSE tutoring for 10's and 11's for maths and physics. I have been tutoring for my school for 2 years now.
I typically suggest 1 - 1:30 hour lessons to ensure the tutee does not get too tired and is able to concentrate throughout.
Before the lesson I would contact the tutee to discuss what they would like to cover and encourage them to bring me questions they have struggled with and if there are any topics that they find hard then I am able to send them worksheets to go through in lesson.
