About Poppy
Hi! I’m a Psychology undergraduate going into my second year at university, and I achieved an A in AQA A-Level Psychology.
I decided to offer tutoring because I really enjoy Psychology and know how much of a difference clear explanations and good exam technique can make. Having completed the AQA course fairly recently, I still remember the areas that can be difficult and the challenge of turning knowledge into strong exam answers.
I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions without worrying about getting things wrong. My aim is to help students build both their understanding of Psychology and their confidence in applying that knowledge in exams.
As I now study Psychology at university, I can also bring a deeper understanding of many of the topics covered at A-Level.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether you want to improve your understanding of difficult topics, develop stronger exam technique, or build confidence before assessments.
Having achieved an A in AQA A-Level Psychology and now studying Psychology at university, I can help with both understanding the course content and applying it effectively in exams.
Lessons can include AO1, AO2 and AO3 skills, essay planning, evaluation, research methods, statistics, revision techniques and practice exam questions. I focus on breaking complicated concepts into clear, manageable explanations and then using exam questions to reinforce understanding.
A typical lesson lasts one hour, although this can be adapted depending on your needs. My lessons are primarily aimed at AQA AS and A-Level Psychology students of any ability, from those looking for additional support to students aiming for the highest grades.
