About Patrick

I'm a native Spanish literature student who has been teaching Spanish to both foreign and native speakers for over five years. I have taught more than 20 students from all levels.

Many of them have gone on to University studies in Spanish and literature, and some foreign speakers have ended up moving to Spain!
I've also helped professionals to get up to date with their Spanish language skills, tailoring the lessons for their needs.

I can also teach to French and Italian native speakers.

About the lesson

I base my classes on a combination of formal and informal teaching, which my experience tells me is best. I prioritize expression and fluidity over canonical knowledge of the language. Most of all, I want to give the student the tools to improve according to their own rythm, needs and capacities.

I usually like to combine language lessons with a crash course in Hispanic culture and literature, but the content can be adapted to every particular case.
For foreign students, I normally begin with a writing and reading comprehension task that the student can prepare in advance with material provided by me. Then we practice speaking for a bit, discussing issues of interest for the student which may include relevant vocabulary for them. The sessions may end up with some grammatical practice.
For native speakers, lessons are tailored depending on the case.

Proficient and articulate in multiple languages, his teaching methods were extremely effective and comprehensive and provided me with confidence in my command of Spanish in just a few lessons.
